Gas is a vital part of our daily lives. It runs our cars and in emergencies, can run our generators and keep our refrigerators and other electrical systems running – at least for a a short period of time during an emergency.
As preppers, many of us have gas fired generators – and for just about anyone else – you probably have lawn tools that use gas. And that means that you go to the gas station periodically to fill up one or more gas containers.
While pumping gas is generally a very safe process, there is a little more danger when filling a one or five gallon gas tank because certain pump safety features – like auto shutoff – are not functional when filling such a container.
